The girl working in customer service was very kind and understood my situation and corrected it immediately very satisfied

Very kind and spoke good English I was able to understand her very well. I dont like that.

I have to fill out 100 words to get this report to you when Im trying to help you and send you something good this is the only thing I am very unhappy about so if you would please not make me do this so Im going to keep talking and saying the same thing anyway the worker was good. Your response for this moment here is not good. Anyway I dont know how much more I could say before you say I could send this to you and give you a good rating.

If I have to go any longer Im going to not give you a good rating and say I wish I never sent this at all. That might be the end of the story.

16pk-aa-not opened, 4 batteries leaked. The package reads '10 year warranty' and is dated 2018, batteries 2028.

Stored in a Tupperware bin, indoors in hall closet in emergency kit. I sent them multiple pics when I wrote customer support. Their reply contained 'when and where did you purchase?' I can already see where this is going. So disappointing the '#1 trusted brand' will not stand behind their product.

Apparently, I am not the only sucker that put my faith into a 101-year-old company. No wonder the younger generations have a disposable mindset.

Even the manufacturers themselves no longer value consumer satisfaction or perception. Stay away from Duracell.

Warranty Replacement Service - RIDICULOUS

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Jul 19, 2025

Do NOT rely on the stated 10 YEAR WARRANTY on rechargeable batteries, Customer Service will jerk you around to validate that you actually bought Duracell Batteries and then offer to send you a Replacement Certificate to arrive 5 - 6 WEEKS LATER ??? If your batteries died, you need replacement, can you WAIT 5 - 6 weeks? Most likely you need to purchase new ones, unable to wait 5 - 6 weeks for repalcement.

Original review Jul 02, 2025

Duracell offers a 10 Year Rechargeable Battery Warranty.

The handling of a Warranty replacement is the MOST RIDICULOUS PROCESS EVER EXPERIENCED.

Offering to send a Replacement Cerificate in - 5 - 6 WEEKS - when my batteries died is OBSCENE !!!

What am I supposed to do in the meantime after my batteries died ???

Whys does it take WEEKS instead of Days to send a LOUSY REPLACEMENT CERIFICATE ??? - SHAME ON DURACELL

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Brand new battery leak on top of plus side!!! I couldnt believe it, 1.5 volt AAA and I see Im not the first person!

When Duracell first came out they were leakproof!!! Old saying if its not broken dont fix it. But its all about $$$ Pay more and get less and the fat get fatter.

Mr Buffett is this how u treat the consumer if u cant produce what Sam Ruben and Phil R.Mallory did, they guarantee a leak poof battery and won the world! Then put the key in the door and call a day!

User's recommendation: If the batteries are got to leak I might as well save money and buy Costco Brand Kirkland!

Customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased 24 Duracell double a batteries from Walmart for my trail cameras for deer season none of the batteries will hold more than a 20% charge and I've tried them on multiple Chargers when I called customer service they said they would send me a return box and then the girl hung up before I asked if they were going to be sending me more batteries I called right back and got another gal and she informed me that they will not be sending me new batteries till they received mine because they have to test them and I will get an answer back in 10 to 12 weeks explain to her that this was $130 in batteries and I will have to then purchase another $130 in batteries while waiting and I said well then I would just like to return them I have proof of purchase once he received them can you just credit me for the amount of the batteries she told me no I asked her if we could escalate this to somebody else she said no I just think it's really terrible customer service I clearly got a bad product they asked me if they were made in China or Japan I told them China and I think that they should either send me new batteries or give me a refund I have proof of purchase a matter of weeks old and once they receive the Batteries Plus my proof of purchase they should have no problem warranty in their product making me wait 10 to 12 weeks is absolutely insane I have to go spend another $130 on batteries while I'm waiting I mean I wouldn't return Good batteries cuz then there wouldn't be a problem haha anyway I hope somebody from their company gets back with me and makes this right because it's horrible it's the worst customer service I've ever received they were rude to begin with and then just basically like so do you want to do this or what and I'm like yeah I guess if that's my only option send me the return box because if I just throw them away then I'm about a hundred and thirty dollars anyway but again I got proof of purchase you know even like Amazon you return something they receive it as soon as they receive it the credit your account I mean I don't care if they test them I don't even care if they give me a refund new batteries would be just fine with me but 10 to 12 weeks that's outrageous it's their bad not mine.

Damaged Products

Duracell - Damaged Products - Image 2

I purchased some rechargeable batteries and a couple of them were damaged right out of the package. The package was perfect, with no damage, so this must have happened during manufacturing.

I needed them and couldn't wait another two weeks for Amazon's ridiculous new shipping times, so I chose not to return them. However, I did contact the company and left feedback on their page. This was back in April.

It's now July, almost August and I've received no response from the company. These batteries were not cheap, and I've lost the use of some of them.
