Leaking Duracell batteries ruined a $29 flashlight

AAA24 Duracell Lot number 134685**** 42: All three batteries leaked causing corrosion to the flashlight components and now the $29 flashlight is ruined. Duracell used to be a good product, but not now. Warren Buffet take notice: you are responsible for a crappie product!!

Duracell - Unwillingness of the retailer batteries plus and then the actual manufacturer
I've never known of a battery that had the only a six month warranty especially if it's a battery that's not in use during that time nor have I been aware of the need to keep a battery on a charger during that time and then re-searching it what I have found is that if a battery remains on a charger for an extended period of time it can actually create problems for the battery as well as possibly a fire hazard

My wife and I bought 4 battery daddy's and spent a lot of money filling them, we are having problems with the Duracell leaking. Not cool. We want them replaced. With one's made in America, the only ones leaking are from China.

I purchased these batteries about a year ago. They were kept in a dry place and when I went to replace a few, this is what I found. These batteries have leaked into my digital thermometer and now has to be replaced. Ill be checking other products that I have these batteries in. Very disappointing as i only purchase Duracell for the quality. This concerns me and very disturbing. Please see attached photos. Bethany D Younker

Problem with Duracell Type "C" batteries, in a Duracell LED Flashlight with Zoom capability purchased July 2023

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Dear Sirs/Madam,

I purchased this LED Flashlight in July 2023 as an Emergency light for our house/camping.

It is an ALI Body and has a Zoom feature along with the number[s] "1300 and China 1543". The Bezel is an Anodized Green and the body is Black.

The flashlight is approx 11" long. The body is 2 1/4" Diameter and the bulb is an LED

NO Where on your Website does this Flashlight appear, why not?

Can the LED Bulb assy be replaced? ( I have changed out the Batteries 2 times with new batteries, each battery was checked with a 1.5 Volt meter (expiration date is Dec 2024 and July 2023 all NEW never used since July 2023)

I am deeply disappointed in the Longevity of the Batteries and the LED, Duracell produced.

Especially as I paid $45.99 for this Flashlight and expected far more Value and usage than I have gotten from this Duracell Product.

I spoke with Lisa in CS last Friday and this is my backup ... as ai was informed that I would receive a response within 72 hrs, not heard from anyone.

I now look forward to a Response ASAP.

Regards, Geoff Daly (MKD USA LLC)

Preferred solution: Apology

User's recommendation: Urge Duracell to make CS personnel accessible and fully knowledgeable. Seems the responses so far is extremely poor, and so is there website, to many batteries and too few Flashlights plus no info on all flashlights they have produced

Always used Duracell long matches to light my fireplace but these two boxes I just bought are bad quality. Need to try @6 matches before one will light. Real garbage quality.

I live in Venezuela, a friend of mine bought for My mother through Amazon 2 boxes of 10 packs each one (4 batteries for pack) of Duracell activair hearing aid batteries 312 Brown color, that they must be best used before 2025-08, but all of them Lost their power. We used a voltimeter and the result varied from 1,1 to 0,8V being brand new. I Guess I can't get new batteries but I read that your company Assure that your batteries don't lose their power while being not used. The serial of the box of ten packs is 246** *** ***.

Duracell batteries leaking

we had the duracell batteries in our remote replaced 2 x within a couple weeks. Yet again they leaked and so did a bunch more in the package that was supposed to be good for at least another 7 or 8 years.

Contacted customer service and after a bit off back and forth they agreed to send a coupon for the remaining batteries. Tried to use the coupon before its expiration date. Turns out the stores we tried Target, Home depot etc.

do not except the coupon. We bought the batteries at Costco and the lady from Duracell told me over the phone that Costco does not except them...Well I guess I will not buying anymore duracell batteries

Inverter issue

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have a 3000 Duracell power inverter. This item was not very old at all less than a year . I used it for emergency. The last time I used it there was a winding scraping sound followed by an odd burnt smell. Not even 20 minutes later the unit has caused damage to the interior of my truck. I had to buy a new back bench seat and my inverter is a death trap please help

Redemption

You are closed for the holidays. I have tried Lowes and Target to use 2 x $15. Coupons you sent that expire Dec 31. Neither store would honor them. Where do I redeem the coupons? I bought the batteries which corroded before the package was opened from Costco. I did return the original damaged batteries to you and recieved the coupons back.
